Daily Devotional Prayer: Hebrews 12:11 NIV
[11] No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Prayer:
Father, we're thankful that we can train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from that path. Father, we are thankful that the Word of God instructs and teaches us. Father, we are thankful that we're chasened because we are sons of God, and not illegitimate children. Father, we are thankful you've instructed us to learn to be both full and to be hungry, both to have abundance and to suffer need. Father, I pray that we'll be disciples of Christ, and receive training and teaching. Father, I pray we'll receive Godly correction and rebuke. Father, I pray that we'll endure hardship as a good soldier. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!
